Anatomy of a DPC Doctor & A DPC Patient -- Business Trends, Qualities and Practice Characteristics (2016)
The Direct Primary Care Journal and its research and data collection arm, The Concierge Medicine Research Collective have surveyed, interviewed and polled Direct Primary Care (DPC) physician clinics across the country from January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2016. Throughout that time, The DPC Journal staff and contributors have assembled demographic data, analyzed business trends, financials and other qualities and characteristics that help refine and identify the qualities and characteristics of DPC Doctors, their patients and their Clinics.
NOTE: We have defined and refined the definition of DPC in these analyses to be direct-pay primary care clinics (no specialty medicine clinics) which do not participate in insurance contracts of any kind, do not participate in Medicare and charge their patients monthly (not quarterly or annual subscription/membership fees).
